About us

We are a family partnership, and have farmed Cornhill farm since 1912, now in the fourth generation. Our main enterprise is free range eggs, which we produce under contract to Waitrose, we also sell some of these locally and at the farm gate, see egg stall. The hens live in purpose built hen houses which we have designed and built here on the farm. The farm has taken on several building projects in the last 30 years, see buildings

Our arable enterprise produces wheat, oats and beans for our own hens feed, this we manufacture ourselves in the Mill and Mix plant. Although we are a commercial farm, we combine that with conservation, and we have enhanced the wildlife habitat and diversity over the years. In 2008 we will be contracting our services out to other farmers, chiefly in combining other farmers crops.
